A
REAL REALITY TELEVISION SERIES
Since the camera’s started
rolling, the Band Without Borders crew has toured sixteen countries,
traveled tens of thousands of miles, and filmed over 240 hours in
high definition, of the Canadian band The Last Supper, as they attempt
to make history. The goal is to perform in 100 countries, by December
21st, 2012, setting a world record for the most countries ever performed
in by a music group. Musical highlights to date include: opening for
Ministry in Paris, playing with Queensryche outside Amsterdam, performing
at Download Festival in the U.K and Best Festival in Romania, and
also sharing the stage with the Allan Parsons Project in Holland and
Uriah Heep in the Czech Republic. Additionally, they were the first
Canadian Rock Band to perform in Mozambique and Swaziland in Africa.
The journey has
produced unbelievable highs and lows while traveling to the various
destinations. Logistical nightmares, financial struggles, and drama
ensue as the band follows their dream to become the first musicians
to perform in 100 countries. Elements that stimulate an interesting
plot include: blowing the motor out of the tour van and being stranded
for 10 hours in a storm, half of the band missing flights to Ireland,
the singer being attacked by a pack of wild dogs, people breaking
down, the airlines losing band equipment, the director being medically
treated, people not sleeping, and partying for days. The experience
is also enhanced by all of the fascinating people encountered while
traveling and performing in 16 countries with a rock’ n roll
band.
The series pilot is now finished and the show is in the process of
getting international distribution. This year will see the completion
of the filming of season one. The band is rehearsing, working on a
new album and organizing the next big adventure. The next leg of the
tour will take place in July with performances in Serbia, Macedonia,
Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Greece, Turkey, Moldova, Kosovo, Montenegro,
Romania, Albania and the U.K
