"We’re not hippies, but like a ‘60s band we want to bring a heightened awareness to global issues. We’ve traveled all over the world and everywhere there are similarities in people. It is one world," Dan Shwetz, The Last Supper.

For those with an appetite for substance and deft musical style, The Last Supper delivers. Bassist Scot Herndon and drummer Mauro Scatozza, provide a solid foundation for Shwetz's searing vocals and Peter Walker's weaving guitar. While guided by a range of musical influences from hip-hop, to blues and rock, the music is also flavored with the Egyptian spice of percussionist Diaa Tass along, with percussionist David Baines.  The Last Supper was founded by Shwetz and Walker in 1994, while attending the University of Western Ontario in Canada. Classmate David Baines joined them shortly afterwards as manager and would later play percussions with the band. The Last Supper was a name chosen to symbolize a gathering of friends with a common goal, which has lead them on this amazing cross country world adventure. The group has played more than 700 live shows across four continents, and played with acts including Iron Maiden, Joe Cocker, Peter Frampton, Thin Lizzy, Our Lady Peace, Slash’s Snakepit, Ministry, Alanis Morisette, Incubus, Kaiser Chiefs, The Allan Parsons Project, and Queensryche. They have appeared at numerous famous rock clubs and European festivals including the Milkweg in Amsterdam, House of Blues (New Orleans), the Whiskey-A-Go-Go and Roxy (L.A), Download Festival (UK), and BosPop (NL).

They have recently returned from the Middle East having done exciting shows in Jordon and Egypt. The band ended this tour playing in their 21st country, with a breathtaking show in a sand storm at the base of the Great Pyramids at Giza.
The band is currenty finishing of their new album for release this year, which they are very excited about.  The album reflects much of the bands own struggles and there observations of humanity during these tumultuous times for the planet.  The band starts its 18th year together, as it sets out on its quest of 79 countries to be completed by December 21, 2012.  Come along for the ride...
